I woke up in a cold sweat. My breath swirling in the frigid air. There was a noise in my car, and it was definately coming from outside. My eyes were not even in focus yet, but someone was tapping on my window. When I finally got my eyes in focus, I could see it was daytime outside. Rays of light were finally trickling on my face and playing havock with my eyes. I looked over to my window between the blinding rays to see what was tapping the glass.                Gray rolling clouds take over the once blue summer sky. Where they come from, nobody knows, but midday turns into a midwinters solace. Blocking the sun with thick gray sheets, the clouds nestle the world to sleep into a slow painless death, left with only the warmth created from within. The leaves on the trees start to die, foreseeing what will happen, faith is carried with the wind blowing through their green slightly browning chlorophyl.                 The sun bounces off the distilled ice clinging to the windshield. I turn up the heat despite the fact that the knob is useless. Perhaps I can salvage a lost gust of tropical weather stored within my car. Unfortunately, my luck is dormant like the trees outside.  My breath skatters into the air and lazily crawls accross the dash as I put the car in park. The battle call of the wind gently shakes my car, reminding me of what lies ahead. Taunting me - it's voice loud and thundering - ripping through the silent parking lot and creeping into my car. The great peril of fortune. Blinding eyes with a deeper gaze, seething all who come near. Where my eyes may stand to see the better days; Where emptiness is not but a gaze away. I will find the present day wrapped around a veil of humanity clouding the line of reason.
